In addition to the University policy added above, the Office of Information Technology also has the following policy: In accordance with EPEAT - Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool, the University of Mount Union purchases EPEAT products and encourages the purchasing of those devices that qualify. All technology purchases are passed through the Office of Information Technology and must adhere to the University’s purchasing policies and procedures.


A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed:

The purchasing policy is available for the campus community on our intranet, or portal. We require purchases to be passed through the Office of Information Technology, and our Network Systems staff works directly with our purchasing officer to make sure the purchases are made according to our published guidelines.
