A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :

Starting with the course listings from each college we used a list of sustainability-related keywords to search for sustainability courses. Next we deleted courses that were not actually related to sustainability, and courses that are cross-listed with other departments. Finally we separated the courses based off whether they are sustainability courses, or courses that include a sustainability component. The final sustainability course listing is attached.
