A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):

The inventory was compiled using faculty research interests listed on their profiles within the institution's staff directory. These research interests were used to decide whether or not the individual's research classified as sustainability related. If this information was missing from the website, faculties were contacted to ask about research performed by that individual. The list was then reviewed by other members of the institution to attempt to varify the results.
