The EPIC building has an interactive kiosk and video displays explaining green features of the LEED Gold Building. Center City Building (LEED Gold) has signage explaining the rainwater harvesting, treatment and re-use.

Chartwells produced and distributed an infographic to explain local food, sustainable seafood, and reducing food waste. It covers on campus dining, but also provides advice for shopping and eating at home.

Signs around the LEED Gold EPIC Building explain stormwater treatment and harvesting, including explanations of raingardens as a landscaping approach. The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens maintains the Mellichamp Native Plants Terrace to demonstrate the use of native plants in landscaping.

Parking and Transportation Services maintains information about alternative transportation (transit buses, shuttles, vehicle sharing, carpooling, and bicycle parking) on its website and printed map brochures.

An interactive campus map was launched in 2015 that include the ability to get directions and generate a map for routes optimized for walking, biking, and transit. The tool is available for phones and tablets. Layers include bike rack locations, greenway paths, shuttle stops and routes, and the locations of light rail stations that are under construction.

The University published its first Annual Report in March, 2015. It was produced in a magazine format entitled "Thrive", published online and promoted through the university homepage. A limited number of hard copies were printed for distribution to campus waiting areas, student lounges, and staff lounges.
