A brief description of the policies and procedures that ensure community stakeholder engagement is applied systematically and regularly across the institution’s activities:
UNCP has a Board of Trustees (BOT) which consists of 13 members with all but one being from outside of the campus. A set of bylaws are in place which guide this group's existence and operations. There are 8 committees within the BOT. The Board meets quarterly and has meetings with the Chancellor, Cabinet and others as needed.

All groups are represented through one or more of the Board's committees. The campus' Senior General Counsel is included in all matters.
