BYOB Campaign (Bring Your Own Bottle)

A brief description of the campaign(s):

Begun in 2008, the BYOB campaign was targeted at students, faculty, and staff to further reduce waste associated with plastic water bottles. Specialty, BPA-free bottles are purchased to supply members of the UNT community with a reusable bottle. In an effort to further engage students in the initiative, the Department of Marketing created a unique design for the bottle.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):

Since it's inception, the BYOB campaign has dramatically reduced the use of plastic water bottles on campus. An estimated 25,000 water bottles have been diverted from waste streams as a result of the campaign.
