A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

The long term goal of UNT's Climate Plan is to move the university toward carbon neutrality by 2040. UNT can explore ways to achieve this by developing carbon reduction strategies in areas of energy, transportation, waste & recycling, and carbon offsets.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

The short term goal of UNT's Climate Plan is to achieve 1990 emission levels by 2015. UNT can explore ways to achieve this by implementing efficiency measures and energy upgrades while improving campus programs to divert waste and promote alternative transportation.
