A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :

The UNT Office of Sustainability provides information, training, and resources to university employees through its Office Assessment Program. The training focuses on how to incorporate sustainable practices and policies tailored to each office on campus, and each office's progress is tracked following the training.

UNT's Human Resources Department provides a variety of training and educational activities, classes, and seminars for university employees. The training focuses on working with department leaders to develop strategies and approaches that continue to build a workforce capable of accomplishing UNT’s strategic goals, which includes sustainability. Sustainability-related training courses include: Managing with the Big I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Access); Cultural Competency Training; and Managing Generations in the Workplace.

In addition, UNT Institutional Equity & Diversity provides training to the university community that focuses on the social aspect of sustainability. Courses include Diversity Training and Ally Training.
