A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

All public sector organizations in British Columbia were legislated to reach carbon neutrality by the year 2010. In 2009 UNBC prepared its first Carbon Neutral Action Report. The report serves as a summary of the previous year's climate actions while identifying planned goals for the following three years. The long term goal of the plan is to move towards zero emissions.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

The short-term goals of the Carbon Neutral Action Report are to continue to continue reducing greenhouse gas emissions by focusing on the following key areas: (a) target setting and key performance measurement, (b) operational enhancements and retrofits and (c behavioural change education focused on energy conservation and greenhouse gas reduction.
