A brief description of the practice:

Community-Based Learning Seminars are courses that address social issues through experiential learning. These courses involve community service or other ways for students to be involved in and learn from the local community.

Summer Service Learning Projects (Domestic and International) are projects that typically receive 3-4 credits and run for 8-10 weeks. Through these summer learning projects, students are able to engage in direct service with partner agencies, examine social issues and provide an academic reflection on their experience.

Social Concerns Seminars are one-credit experiential and service-learning opportunities built around national and international immersion experiences. Students examine social issues from multiple perspectives, study the Catholic social tradition, and take an active role in building a learning community.
