A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:

The University of Ottawa chooses plants that are resistant to the urban environment as to reduce the likelihood of their being damaged during the cold seasons.

Caltrio, the company that deals with our grounds, confirms planting the following species :spruce, conifers, Norway spruce, white spruce and shrubs. These plants are chosen for their resistance to our climate and easy maintenance

The community garden also incorporates several indigenous species plots.
