The ULS at the University of Pittsburgh supports Article Processing Charges with its Author Fee Fund. (Information and policy about this fund here: https://www.library.pitt.edu/open-access-author-fee-fund-policy. ) The institutional repository, D-Scholarship@Pitt, contains all of the electronic theses and dissertations produced by the university and a growing number of faculty outputs. The repository is connected to the Faculty Information System, allowing researchers to connect their profiles with their deposited publications with ease.
The library also has a robust library publishing initiative with over 40 open access journals. These journals are edited by faculty and students at the University of Pittsburgh as well as external organizations and scholars. The library also hosts several subject-based archives, including the Archive of European Integration, Industry Studies Working Papers, and Phil-Sci Archive. In alignment with this work, the ULS is a development partner for infrastructure to support open access through the Public Knowledge Project.
