The percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample:

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Every two years the University contracts with the Centre for Management Development to conduct an Employee Engagement Survey. All staff, except for students receive an email inviting them to participate in the survey which has approximately 80 questions covering 14 key drivers of engagement. We use a model of Employee Engagement Survey Ambassadors (employees in each work area) to increase participation.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

The results of the survey are provided to all employees. The University Leadership Team is tasked with developing plans to address areas of concern University wide and individual areas work to deal with specific issues within their workplace.

Our scores are very high across the full range of the 14 key drivers but we did identify some areas where we scored lower as a University such as work/family balance, psychological safety, and alignment between the goals of the University and the goals of the individual work units. All members of the University Leadership team were assigned to groups that were tasked to look at the issues and develop plans to address the issues.

The year the employee satisfaction and engagement evaluation was last administered:
2,012
