1to1 Movement - The 1to1 Movement is an environmental nonprofit organization based in San Diego, CA that raises awareness about sustainability in respect to the environment, economy and health of humans and wildlife alike through educational campaigns and social engagement. 1to1 encourages the community to be part of the solution to keep San Diego America’s Finest City, and strives to be an informational resource where people can learn about the positive, attainable steps they can take to make their community a safer, cleaner, healthier place to live.
The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative - The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative is a network for public agencies that serve the San Diego region to share expertise, leverage resources, and advance comprehensive solutions to facilitate climate change planning. By partnering with academia, non-profits, and businesses, it also works to raise the profile of regional leadership.
USD is also a member of Cleantech San Diego. Cleantech San Diego is a member-based trade organization that positions the greater San Diego region, including Imperial County, as a global leader in the cleantech economy. As a nonprofit organization, Cleantech San Diego is uniquely suited to support the industry by fostering collaborations across the private-public-academic landscape, leading advocacy efforts to promote cleantech priorities, and encouraging investment in the San Diego region.

USD presented at the AASHE conference October 2016 on the USD Electronics Recycling Center (ERC). The presentation focused on the successes and challenges of opening and operating an electronics collection center on a college campus. It also gave participants the necessary tools and tips to opening up a center on their campus.
In November 2016, the Electronics Recycling Center Supervisor presented at the Fifth Conference on Environmental Challenges & Informatics held in Puerto Rico. The presentation highlighted the achievements of the USD Electronics Recycling Center and provided recommendations on how to implement a similar project in Puerto Rico. The presentation focused on the potential economic, social and environmental benefits of the e-Depot Community Initiative for the western area of P.R. (based on the experience of USD – ERC).
In November 2016, the ERC Supervisor attended and presented at the Students for Zero Waste conference in New Hampshire. He spoke about going beyond "normal recycling" and presented what USD does to provide the San Diego community with a public recycling center.

The University of San Diego hosts an annual Climate and Energy Law Symposium aimed at analyzing and assessing the topic of regulatory changes, effective and functional utility business model, and address market structures.
Dr. Esteban Del Rio sits on the Board for the California Bicycle Coalition.
Mr. Scott Anders (EPIC) sits on several Boards that relate to sustainability and energy.
Mr. Michael Catanzaro (Director of Sustainability) sits on the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership Sustainability Board.

Climate Education Partners (CEP) is a dynamic, interdisciplinary collaboration of representatives from the University of San Diego, California State University San Marcos, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Francisco, The San Diego Foundation, and The Steve Alexander Group. This multipartner team brings together expertise in climate science, social psychology, law, policy, and communications.
Climate Education Partners is working to share science about the changing climate with regional leaders. With a solid scientific foundation, leaders can make informed decisions on how best to protect the spectacular natural beauty, economic vibrancy and preserve the quality of life in San Diego, not just for today, but for all future generations.
