A brief description of the themed semester, year, or first-year experience:
The first-year experience for 2011-2012 was modeled around the book No Impact Man, exploring the different aspects of how student impact their environment. Throughout the year, students were encouraged to participate in lecture sessions, a film-making competition, and a No Impact week event, as well as others.
