A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s), including information to support each affirmative response above :

The Student Counseling Center is the university’s primary facility for personal counseling, psycho-therapy, and psychological outreach and consultation services. Their mission is to promote the psychological, educational, and social well-being of the student of the University of Tennessee and to help prepare them to be productive members of society. They provide a variety of services for students, faculty, and staff. Services for students include: brief consultation sessions; individual, couples, or group counseling and psychotherapy; crisis services; the Feel Better Fast/Stress Management Clinic; psychiatric services; psychoeducational workshops and consultations; and referrals to on- and off- campus mental health services.

Services for faculty and staff include referrals to off- campus mental health services as well as outreach and consultations including presentations, guest lectures, and workshops. Additionally, the bi-weekly Be Well's Wellness Wednesday Newsletter is a valuable resource which shares events, information, and resources to support healthy lifestyles.
