A brief description of the student group:

The University of Texas Campus Environmental Center was founded in 2002. Its three major objectives are: peer-to-peer education on sustainability; transformation of the UT main campus into a greener, more sustainable university; and collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators to meet sustainability goals. The organization has around 2,000 students on its email list and operates with approximately 50 core members, including officers, each year.

This organization also meets the criteria for ER Credit One: Student Sustainability Educators Program.

Beyond the UT-CEC, UT also supports Net Impact Graduate and Undergraduate groups, and Engineers for a Sustainable World, among others.
