Does the institution have an ongoing incentives program or programs that meet the criteria for this credit?:
Yes

A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years:

UTPA’s Project Sin Fronteras program, modeled after Emory University’s Piedmont Project, is a faculty
development program offering a transformational platform that infuses sustainability concepts and practices into UTPA & Univerity of Texas-Brownsville curriculum. Since external accrediting bodies are beginning to require the inclusion of sustainability within the curriculum (e.g. Business, Engineering), this program provides participants with information and skills to produce a new or revised course syllabus with a link to sustainability that addresses co-curricular and service learning, and as a means of student engagement to attract disadvantaged students to STEM fields.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:

Faculty participants who complete and commit to teaching the workshop syllabus within one academic year of graduation received a $500.00 stipend.
