Does the institution have an on-campus garden where students are able to gain organic farming and/or gardening experience?:
A brief description of the garden:
In the spring of 2011, a group of students began to revitalize the UDC Rose Garden, a previously neglected site, to produce a growing space with the goal of educating students and engaging the broader community. The campus garden is maintained by the UDC Garden Club, a student organization, but volunteer opportunities are available to all members of the public. The garden is pesticide free and uses on-site composting to reuse organic material.
