Has the institution installed vending machine motion sensors for at least one vending machine?:
Yes

A brief description of the technology used:

Through a partnership with the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU), UDC purchased and installed vending machine misers. The misers, manufactured by USA Technologies, include an infrared motion sensor that detects when the area around the vending machine is vacant and powers the vending machine down. The misers provide both energy and cost reductions for the operation of the machines.
