“The University of Utah JumpStart is a summer program to help 15 eligible students get on the right track to a successful University experience. JumpStart is part of the Student Support Services (SSS) Project -- a federally funded TRiO program for eligible University students who are motivated to succeed at the University.
Eligibility for JumpStart is limited to Utah students who:
Will graduate from high school in 2011;
Are admitted and will attend the University of Utah during academic year 2011-12;
Come from a low income family or a family where neither parent has a college degree;
Have an ACT Math score below 23 or who are placed in Math 990 or Math 1010; and

The University of Utah has several programs that award financial assistance to students from low-income backgrounds: LEAPP (Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program), UEF (Utah Education Fund Grant) and NBTAG (Need Based Tuition Assistance Grant) are all tuition assistance programs designed to specifically serve students who demonstrate financial need.
