Provides limited storage with plans for improvement as indicated in the UVM Active Transportation Plan. Showers are available in the student center.

Yes

Bicycle racks are located throughout campus at all facilities. Indoor bike storage is available at Residential Halls.

Yes

A brief description of the bicycle and pedestrian plan or policy:

Final Draft of Active Transportation Plan approved Dec 2016. This is a plan for integrating non-motorized transportation access, safety and facilities into UVM transportation systems. Non-motorized mobility include biking, skateboarding, using wheelchairs, skating, and riding scooters. Through collaboration with multiple stakeholders, departments, and student groups at UVM, research is being done to establish the bicycle needs of our campus. The plan will aim to decrease congestion and accident frequency in addition to addressing critical gaps in the wayfaring system such as signage and road crossings.

Campus Bike Share
The Bicycle User's Group (UVMBikes) created the UVM Bike Share to eliminate the need for vehicles on campus. UVM invested in a fleet of Worksman's Cycles to be used for trips across campus. They are available daily from the Davis Center, Redstone and Trinity Campus. To register, visit the Davis first floor info desk.

Campus Bike Rentals
Our students maintain a fleet of used bicycles available for semester rentals. They are affordable and reliable for commuting across campus.

Bike Maintenance
TPS and UVM Bikes operate a bicycle repair shop (The BEC) to help you learn how to keep your wheels rolling. Stop by with any of your bicycle needs. Students or staff will be there to assist.

We offer free, unlimited access for all university employees and students on Green Mountain Transit City and Link Express buses.

Our membership within the Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA) provides guaranteed ride home service for users of alternative modes of transportation.

We provide discounts for carpools of two and free parking for carpools/vanpools of three or more.

We have partnered with CarShareVT through our membership within CATMA and provide free memberships for individuals turning on their permit parking privileges on campus.

We have four dual post Level 2 EV Charging Stations on campus totaling eight spaces, and two Level I charging spaces in our parking garage mid-level with plans for adding additional EV Charging opportunities as the demand increases.

Supervisors may allow telecommuting. The policy is being updated in February 2017 to specify how supervisors should communicate with employees.
