UVA is a member of the Green Sports Alliance. Initiatives include Game Day Challenge Football and Game Day Challenge Basketball (zero waste events) and various communication tools. A student Green Athletics intern works on various green athletics initiatives year-round, in conjunction with a Green Athletics Working Group.
