In October 2013, U.Va. Facilities Management Building Services’ cleaning program was awarded the prestigious Green Seal GS-42 certification. U.Va. became the first higher education institution in Virginia, and third in the nation, to receive this certification, and continues to maintain and expand its green cleaning programs.
