A brief description of the management system:

The UW Seattle Campus tracks energy consumption centrally, which includes electricity consumption and fuel consumption by the heating plant. The UW Seattle Campus began tracking Central Plant chilled water usage in buildings starting in Calendar Year 2011.

HVAC systems serving offices, classrooms and libraries are shut down during unoccupied periods. HVAC systems in laboratory buildings operate 24/7.
