A brief description of the policy:

The University of Washington allows no vehicle to be left unattended or idling at a loading dock, delivery stop, or at other locations where exhaust emissions may enter an occupied building such as near building air intakes, entrances, or open windows, etc.
Idling is prohibited in UW vehicles. In addition, the University of Washington allows no vehicle to be left unattended or idling at a loading dock, delivery stop, or at other locations where exhaust emissions may enter an occupied building such as near building air intakes, entrances, or open windows, etc.
UW's Fleet Services has deployed emission-reducing technologies on those vehicles that, because of the nature of their use, are required to idle.
