The name of the campaign(s):
Ivey Sustainability Initiative's EcoChallenge

A brief description of the campaign(s):

The Ivey Sustainability Initiatives Team hosted the "Ecological Footprint Reduction Challenge", to raise awareness and reduce Ivey's individual footprint. Members of the Ivey community were asked to commit to making small adjustments to their lifestyles in order to become more sustainable. Sustainability tips were sent by the Ivey Sustainability Initiatives team throughout the week of March 1–8, 2011 and points were earned by committing to incorporate changes into your lifestyle.
The individual who made commitments that lead to the largest reduction was deemed the winner of the Challenge and honoured with the “Adrienne Clarkson Award for Sustainability"; the individual was presented the award by the former Governor General.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):

In addition to increasing awareness on-campus, the challenge saw 1,120 new commitments made which resulted in 21 million L of water conserved (10 Olympic swimming pools), 93 tonnes in waste reductions (5 large garbage trucks) and 1,088 tonnes in GHG reductions (3.8 million km driving a sedan).
