Western recognizes the difficulty in returning to work or school after parental leaves. It is a challenging period of adjustment for both parent and child.
Consequently, childcare services provided on-campus include:
- University Laboratory Preschool - The University Laboratory Preschool is administered by the Department of Psychology as a state of the art preschool and as a research and demonstration facility
- UCC Flexible Child Care - Operated by the YMCA, Flexcare is located in the University Community Centre (UCC) and accepts children ranging from 18 months to 5 years of age
- YMCA Child Care Services - Western - Child care centre and youth camps offered in conjunction with Western
