The WE SPEAK Faculty and Staff Survey 2012 was offered to all full-time and part-time employees at Western University. More than 56% of full time staff replied, resulting in a total of over 3000 respondents. The survey was made available through e-mail and focused on issues including work engagement, workplace safety, communication and collaboration, involvement in decision-making, individual team recognition, respect, and opportunities for learning and career advancement.
A total of 21 topics were considered in this survey and only three areas scored below the benchmark. Progress is currently being made to ensure that those weaknesses are addressed by the appropriate departments and a follow-up survey will likely be conducted in the future.
