A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:

New student orientation consists of multiple contacts with new students during the summer prior to their initial fall semester. In FOCUS, held in early June, students and parents come to campus to complete the registration process and attend a resource fair. Green Bay Metro is one partner that presents information on the U-Pass program which provides students with free access to the transit system. It is promoted as a green & sustainable method to access campus and town. Students attending this FOCUS session received a reusable "Go Green" book bag into which information/handouts for the event are placed.

In late August, FOCUS-Orientation is held for the students which typically includes a campuswide scavenger hunt/ Amazing Race format event. One of the locations included in the event was one of the campus bus stops, where Metro handed out bus schedules.
