Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources?:
Yes

A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:

UW La Crosse provides payment to the City of La Crosse Mass Transit Utility to allow students access to the city bus system with their campus ID. Rates are reduced for University employees.

The University uses a student coordinated online ride sharing social media site to connect University students, staff and faculty in promotion of carpooling.

The University continues to operate a Green Bike Program that refurbishes abandoned bikes and leases the bicycles to students.

Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary sources on campus?:
No

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:

The University of Wisconsin La Crosse completes its air emissions inventory with support from the Wisconsin Division of Facilities Services (DFS). The inventory is completed in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 285, Wis. Stats., and Chapters NR 400 to NR 499, Wis. Adm. Code. The University and DFS continue to operate the stationary source in compliance with all permit conditions as issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources

Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions

Sulfur oxides (SOx) ---
Carbon monoxide (CO) ---
Particulate matter (PM) ---
Ozone (O3) ---
Lead (Pb) ---
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) ---
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) ---
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations ---

A brief description of the institution’s initiatives to minimize air pollutant emissions from stationary sources, including efforts made during the previous three years:

The State of Wisconsin and University has reduced coal consumption from 2,975 tons used in calendar year 2011 to 760 tons used in calendar year 2014.

In spring 2012 the University completed installation of two high efficiency (~85%) 20 MBTU/Hr natural gas boilers. Replaces a (65%) 32 MBTU/Hr natural gas boiler installed in 1971.
