As part of the core "Essential Learning Outcome" in the USP program an assignment was designed to assess students on their current knowledge, and exploration of sustainability in their first semester.


A brief description of how the assessment(s) were administered:

All students in the USP program explore sustainability as one of their three Quest courses in general education. As one of their first assignments in their first semester they must explore sustainability. The students were first tested in the very beginning of the semester and again at the very end. Students were tested from all three tracks of the USP in order to gain a better understanding of effective teaching models.

The assessment was done in the fall 2015 semester and the results are still being assessed.
