A brief description of how the employee educators are selected (1st program):

Staff who work in Gardner Hall voluntarily participate in this program. These educators then work to make sure that Gardner Hall is being as "green" as possible. They spread the word among their peers as well as help hang signage and implement programming.


A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive (1st program):

These educators have a meeting with the Sustainability Office at the beginning of each year to learn the basics of campus sustainability focused on waste management, energy, transportation, and water. They then hold monthly team meetings which the Sustainability Coordinator also attends to answer questions and provide resources.


A brief description of the staff and/or other financial support the institution provides to the program (1st program):

Mentioned above, the Sustainability Office provides educational information to the educators as well as monthly meetings. The Sustainability Office also provides nominal financial support for printing, and connects the educators to resources that may be helpful.
