Montessori Workshop: Introducing Children to Matter and Atoms
Date 2/12/16
Presents a sequence of experiments to help elementary children build their concepts of matter and atoms, and prepare them for future chemistry studies. Teachers will receive practical tips on keeping chemistry exciting, and at the same time, safe. These activities will emphasize commonly available, non-hazardous materials which can be discarded safely and easily when the experiments are done. Teachers will gain confidence in presenting studies of matter and atoms to children and enlarge their library of experiments for the classroom.

Montessori Workshop: Moldy Oldie Mathematicians
Date 4/8/16
Roseann Larrow will inspire wonder in all participants as she guides them in hands-on-activities designed to help them rediscover the mathematical wonders explored by inspirational mathematicians including Archimedes, Napier, Pascal, Fibonacci, Lovelace and even Eratostheses!

Montessori Workshop: Montessori and the Child Who Learns Differently
Dates 10/16/15
This workshop will focus on the work of Charles Shedd, June Shelton and Joyce Pickering and will include ideas and material-making supplies for individualizing instruction for students who are struggling in some way. The goal is to equip participants with more options for finding the right "match" for each child.
