Does the institution have programs in place to protect and/or create wildlife habitat on institution-owned land?:
No

A brief description of the wildlife habitat program, policy, or practice:

The Grounds Department does not have any practices in place to protect or create wildlife habitat.

The only activities to attract wildlife are done through the Biology Department and the Natural Areas Club in the Outdoor Classroom. The Natural Areas Club has used its own money to buy bat boxes for the Outdoor Classroom, for example. NAC also used grant dollars to plant native trees and shrubs in the classroom, and is removing invasive species in order to provide more native habitat for insects, birds, and small mammals.
