Virginia Tech programs utilize both sustainability courses and learning outcomes to ensure that students leaving these majors are improving their knowledge and awareness to environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable practices as they enter the workforce. Programs that require sustainability courses or have specific learning outcomes are categorized in one of two ways: the program requires and utilizes sustainability courses with their own program prefix (Agricultural & Applied Economics is AAEC, denoted as yellow), or the program requires and utilizes sustainability courses with another program's prefix (Environmental Engineering, ENE, uses CEE courses. Denoted as grey). See "Departments" tab of attached spreadsheet.
