Is the institution recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation's Tree Campus USA program?:
Yes

A brief description of the institution's Tree Campus USA program:

The Arbor Day Foundation stipulates five core standards of tree care and community engagement in order to receive Tree Campus USA status:

* establish a campus tree advisory committee;
* evidence of a campus tree-care plan;
* verification of dedicated annual expenditures on the campus tree-care plan;
* involvement in an Arbor Day observance; and
* the institution of a service-learning project aimed at engaging the student body.

Having met these requirements, WUSTL's Danforth campus has received the honor of designation as a Tree Campus USA.

Note: The Danforth Campus tree advisory committee includes four members of WUSTL’s Department of Biology in Arts & Sciences and members of local communities, including the City of St. Louis, Clayton and University City. All three of these cities have been awarded a Tree City USA designation by the Arbor Day Foundation as well.
