A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :

Wellesley College installed a 48 panel photovoltaic solar array in the summer of 2010 next to the sports fields. This is a 10 kilowatt system with 48 panels. Thus far, it has avoided releasing 5547.59 pounds of carbon.

A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:
---

A brief description of off-site, institution-catalyzed, renewable electricity generating devices:
---

A brief description of RECs or other similar renewable energy products purchased during the previous year:
---

A brief description of co-generation technologies deployed:

98% of the college's electrical energy was produced by the college's co-generation plant. Co-gen utilizes almost 50% of total energy from the performance year, using natural gas, which is the cleanest burning fossil fuel. Further, the campus utilizes natural gas in its boilers and has significantly reduced its use of #6 oil.
