The 2017 Finger Lakes Project sustainability curriculum development workshop - hosted by the institution - was open to all staff and faculty at the college at a reduced rate; several faculty took advantage of the opportunity.
The college hosted a summer Invasive Species training workshop for educators to which faculty and staff were invited to attend.
Depending upon staff and faculty interest, funding support is available for attendance and presentation at disciplinary conferences and workshops where sustainability is a topic.
We are aware of several faculty who attended disciplinary conferences where sustainability was a major focus. One faculty member attended the AASHE spring sustainability leadership conference.
The president attended the Second Nature leadership summit in AZ in February. The sustainability director attended the AASHE conference and the State of NY Sustainability conference.
The institution pays all or most of the costs for such faculty/staff travel and professional development.
