The President's Advisory Committe on Diversity, Inclusion and Intercultural Excellence (PACDIIE) has conducted several outreach and feedback sessions and conducted surveys with constitutencies in the campus community. PACDIIE surveyed students to solicit responses to questions of diversity and inclusion related to the student experience.

Yes

Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success (e.g. graduation/success and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:
Yes

Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity (e.g. pay and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs and initiatives:

Efforts to promote diversity and multicultural education at Wells are coordinated by faculty, staff and student committees for Inclusion and Intercultural Excellence. Each has its own areas of focus, but collaboration and shared work are guided by frequent communication, joint meetings, and representation in the overarching President's Advisory Committee for Inclusion and Intercultural Excellence (PACDIIE).

In response to campus concerns and institutional goals related to recruitment of more diverse faculty and staff, PACDIIE developed a training program on diversity and inclusion for internal search committees.

Are the results of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment shared with the campus community?:
Yes

A brief description of how the assessment results are shared with the campus community:

The members of the PACDIIE committee - which is comprised of Diversity and Inclusion subcommittees representing different campus constituencies (faculty, staff, students) - are all aware of the results of the assessment and share those results with their respective groups. Using the assessment results, the director of Diversity and Inclusion works with groups and individuals within the institution to address areas of concern identified in the diversity and inclusion assessment.

Results of the PACDIIE assessment are shared with and discussed among different constituent groups and planning units. Additional diversity and inclusion programming has been developed as a result of some concerns raised.

A number of different campus programs related to diversity and inclusion have been developed and offered in the past year. These include, but are not limited to: the annual Diversity Award ceremony; Shades of Wells student panel; a screening of Beyonce's visual album, Lemonade, followed by a panel discussion titled "The Aesthetics and Style of Race, Gender, and Politics: Beyonce's Lemonade"; A Taste of the Caribbean dinner; Head, Heart and Hands series during Black History Month; Men's Leadership Conference; the Trans Book Buddy Program; Fresh Air Fund participation appeal to faculty and staff; Eyes within Our Streets; Wells College First Annual Great Big Leadership Day; Dialogue about Ithaca College tragedy (killing of a student of color); Cayuga Nation acknowledgment; Umoja & WRC Presents: Body Image Discussion; Bijutten: Art Show;
