Wentworth has had a green purchasing policy in place since 2010. The full policy can be found here:
OP-12: Electronics Purchasing
Wentworth's green purchasing policy requires EPEAT Bronze or higher certification for all eligible electronics.
OP-13: Cleaning & Janitorial Purchasing
Wentworth's cleaning contract specifies a green cleaning program meeting the requirements of the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Standard. This program takes a holistic approach to environmental, health, and safety including training, waste minimization, and use of biodegradable and phosphate-free cleaning solvents. Managers from the contracted cleaning company report regularly to Physical Plant on various aspects of their program.
OP-14: Office Paper Purchasing
Through its preferred office supply vendor, Wentworth purchases recycled paper consisting of at least 30% post-consumer content. The Director of Purchasing has worked with Wentworth's office supply vendor to ensure that recycled paper is the default selection for campus procurement.
