Does the institution have programs in place to protect and/or create wildlife habitat on institution-owned land?:
Yes

A brief description of the wildlife habitat program, policy, or practice:

Wesleyan does not have an official policy to preserve and create wildlife habitat, but utilizes land-use practices that protect wildlife habitat. In Fall 2012, eight acres of the Long Lane property in front of the Cady Building were planted with native CT grasses to create wildlife habitat. Wesleyan also has 89 acres of wooded areas and hayfields. Wooded areas are unmaintained to provide wildlife habitat and recreational areas.
