As a result of student efforts, WKU became a Fair Trade University in 2011. We offer Fair Trade options for coffee at every campus coffee shop, and source Fair Trade chocolate and other items when available. To celebrate the Year of Ecuador, in 2015, we hosted a Fair Trade cocoa cooperative on campus who provided open lectures on the topic of sustainable, ecologically sound cocoa production.
