Workplace health and safety data has been recorded by WKU Environment, Health and Safety for many years, for many different purposes.

A brief description of the institution’s workplace health and safety initiatives, including how workers are engaged in monitoring and advising on health and safety programs:

The Environment, Health and Safety Department (EH&S) and Department of Facilities Management collaboratively maintain numerous Occupational Safety and Health programs to assure and enhance the safety and well being of our students, faculty and staff. Many such programs are required by various regulatory agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA).
The following trainings are available for all university employees (and mandatory for Facilties Management staff (320-350 employees):
