A brief description of the central sustainability website:
Western Technical College has setup a website specifically for sustainability. The website provides all the information on what Western Technical College is currently doing to further sustainability. The site also provides information on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle by offering tips on reducing an individual's ecological footprint.
***NOTE: The college underwent a website revitalization project since it began its STARS submission. As of 8/11/2017, the Sustainability section is in the process of migrating from the old to new servers. The URL listed below will link to the NEW webpage and should be active by September 1, 2018.

Each building at Western Technical College hangs a sign which exhibits the building's L.E.E.D. rating. There are also signage which explains the various living lab areas within the Integrated Technology Center.

The dinning hall provides signage for the products that are certified organic as well as products which have been locally sourced. In addition, the sustainability website showcases brochures go in depth about the importance of nutrition and a closer look at the locally sourced products.

Western Technical College displays several signs close to the Green Wall, Green Roof, Permeable paver courtyard, and the rain garden. These signs explain what the sustainable landscaping strategy and how it contributes to sustainability.

Western Technical College's Sustainability website showcases links that support sustainable commuting options. From the website there there is a section which provides detailed maps of bicycle paths all around the area. This section also provides useful tips such as where to find showers and free towels after your commute, and safety procedures.

Western Technical College dedicates 3 case display to themed to sustainability. The case showcases awards in sustainability Western has received. The case is also used to promote recycling and energy conservation with facts and tips about conservation.
