Surveys are sent out and focus groups and lunch-and-learns are held.
Western Technical College partnered with Achieving the Dream to do a large scale focus group about campus climate, diversity, and barriers to student success. Western is also evaluated every eight years by the Wisconsin Technical College's system related to equity and diversity.

Western has been keeps a Diversity Scorecard, and conducts diversity focus groups with students. Last year Western partnered with Achieving the Dream to do a large scale focus group about campus climate, diversity, and barriers to student success.

Similar to student equity assessments Western assess employee diversity and equity. A diversity scorecard is kept updated from year to year. Also Western is evaluated every 8 years related to equity and diversity.
