A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
To achieve our goal of 75% waste diversion on the Meldrum Science Center, the construction team properly sorted through all construction debris to ensure we could accuratley recycle the materials. The main focus was to recycle concrete, metals, woods, and cardboards. Once the waste had been sorted we distrubuted the materials to be recycled at the following companies:
Bland, Inc.(concrete)
Western Metals Recycling (metals)
Rocky Mountain Recycling (Cardboards)
Arbor Pellet (Wood)
