A list or brief description of the institution level or division level sustainability learning outcomes:

The number counts only those graduates from WPI’s undergraduate engineering programs since the engineering division includes sustainability in its outcomes. The specific outcome that contains the word "sustainability" is, "an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety,
manufacturability, and sustainability." The link to the catalog where this appears for each engineering program is http://web.wpi.edu/academics/catalogs/ugrad/flip/html5forpc.html?page=0 . For example, this outcome appears on page 44 for Architectural Engineering, and elsewhere for the other engineering programs. (Note that we believe that our institution-level learning outcomes also represent the principles of sustainability but this has been rejected by the STARS review so it is not included here.)
