A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, special (e.g. coal ash), universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
No coal ash on campus. Waste is disposed of through channels that are vetted through EHS for disposal technique and sustainability. Monitoring of chemical levels and consolidation of waste streams from all departments on campus, leads to lesser accumulation points and fewer materials.
A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
All waste streams are analyzed for content, profiled and disposaed of in mannerisms conducive to their chemical make-up. Since a variety of different streams are in play at any given time the disposal is what best coincides with he chemical being treated.

There have been no significant incidents within the previous three years.

Rehoming is always a consideration and, unless an expired chameical, will be used in other places of possible.

E-waste recycling is handled through a partnership between the Office of Sustainability and ITS. The IT department organizes a monthly pick-up of electronic materials such as hard drives, floppy disks, laptops, keyboards, monitors, microwaves, scanners, cameras, cell phones, circuit boards, etc. Collection buckets for batteries and small electronics are located in the library, the student center, and the facilities office. The Office of Sustainability Waste Student Intern reviews materials and ensures they are able to be recycled. They also educate the general public on e-waste
