A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Office of Sustainability staff are invited to give a brief presentation to new employees during new employee orientation sessions when they are in-person. This presentation includes the following: a brief overview of Elon's commitment to sustainability, the inclusive definition of sustainability, Elon's carbon neutrality goal, ways to get involved with sustainability on campus, information about alternative transportation options and waste reduction tips. New employees also receive an email from the Office of Sustainability providing them with an introduction to Elon’s sustainability program, information about how to get involved on campus and resources to learn more.
